Bradford Gift Certificate Redemption Guidelines

PLEASE KEEP FOR REFERENCE

The Bradford Gift Certificate program is a FREE membership benefit. This valuable advertising puts your name in front of more than 3,600 consumers each year. It is important for you and all your employees to understand the guidelines of the program.

Before redeeming a BGC, look for the following:

  1. Gray in Color - Surrounded by a white border and shows the printer’s name and phone number in the lower left.

  2. Stamped Expiration Date - There is a stamped expiration date on the face of each BGC. If a customer presents an expired BGC, please refer them to the Chamber office for assistance. PLEASE, DO NOT REDEEM AN EXPIRED CERTIFICATE.

  3. Sequential Stamped Numbers - Each BGC is numbered in the upper right hand corner. The first two numbers are the face value of the BGC.

  4. Specialty Paper - Certificates are printed on check paper marked check protect. Look at the back of the certificate.

  5. Bank Routing Number  - A bank routing number is printed across the bottom.

Redemption guidelines:

  1. Bradford Gift Certificate’s may only be redeemed by active BACC members for services or merchandise they sell or perform.

  2. If a customer does not use the full value of a BGC, you have the option to:


    • issue an in-store credit to cover the difference between the sale total and the face value of the BGC
    • refer them to the BACC office where we will exchange their BGC for smaller denominations, or
    • refund cash for the full difference between the sale total and the BGC face value.


      You will always receive the full face value of the BGC at deposit.

  3. Accept BGC’s until the stamped Expiration Date on the face.

  4. Deposit BGC’s as you would any check, for the full face value of the certificate.
  • Stamp or print your business name on the “Redeemed at Bradford Area Chamber Member” line on the face of each Bradford Gift Certificate you redeem.

  • Endorse the back of Bradford Gift Certificates the same as any check.

  • Deposit redeemed Bradford Gift Certificates routinely with your bank deposits.

  • Display your “Bradford Gift Certificates Accepted Here” sign prominently.

It’s that simple!
